Shipping Policy


Deliveries are made only on the date specified in your order. Our available dates are listed on the website and it is the customer’s responsibility to select the correct date for your order.

The available delivery time slots are 11 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 6 pm, and 6 pm-10 pm for T+1 and pre-orders for later dates.

For same-day delivery orders, the cut-off to place your order is 3 pm on the same day of delivery. Post placing your order on or before 3 pm we require a 5–6-hour window for production and delivery.

Delivery will be made within the chosen time slot for T+1 and pre-orders and 5 hours post-order confirmation for same-day orders, however, we cannot guarantee a precise delivery time. If you would like the order to be delivered at a particular time, the charges for that would be additional based on the actual costs of third-party delivery services such as Ola and Uber. We also offer self-pick-up for such orders and highly encourage that.

For custom orders deliveries and production timelines will be specified at the time of order confirmation by our team.

The rate charged for delivery of the order is based on the delivery location. Before the final checkout page, the customer will be shown what the cost of delivery will be.

The provided contact details and address at checkout must be accurate and reachable during the chosen time slot. Please ensure that you're contactable and collect the order during the time slot chosen for delivery and that someone is available at the delivery address on the date and time of your order. A 15-minute waiting period will apply; if there is no one to receive the order, we will do our very best to leave it in a safe place (with a neighbor, security guard, caretaker, etc.) after instruction by the client, However, we cannot keep hold of the order for re-delivery. In case of no response within 15 minutes of the delivery reaching your desired location, the order shall be considered cancelled with 100% charges for the cancellation fee. An Ode to Gaia will not be held responsible for damage to the order once delivered to someone other than the client.

If you are sending a surprise to someone, please ensure to enter their address and your contact details for easy coordination with the logistics team.

Cash on Delivery service is not available.

All deliveries are processed via our in-house delivery fleet or third-party service providers. Do note that each delivery comes with a risk and we're not liable for delays due to floods/ heavy rains/ pandemics/ natural calamities/ national bandh/election dates/ curfews/traffic jams/festival times/ regulated traffic movements/ or any other impediments that may restrict the delivery of the order.

If you would like us to deliver to your place of work or somewhere with a courier point, we are happy to do so, however, please note that An Ode To Gaia cannot accept any liability for the treatment of your order or mishandling once a delivery has been made. All our couriers are instructed in the correct handling of the order and will always pass this information on to any caretakers/ workers but once the desserts are delivered, we cannot accept liability for the subsequent handling of your desserts.

For deliveries to hotels and shopping malls, the order would have to be strictly collected from the main lobby or pick-up point. The customer will be liable to pay the fine or parking fee should that be necessary.

Our operating timings and pick-up timings are mentioned on our website, social handles, and invoice. Any order due for collection and not picked up during those timings will have to be collected the next day. In the event of a delay, we can leave your order with the compound security.

The person who received the cake is wholly responsible for checking that the order specifications are correct and in good condition. Subsequent disputes regarding damage to the cake or incorrect cake design will not be entertained if not raised at the time of pick-up/delivery.

Packaging material accounts for close to 30% of all the waste in the landfill. We would encourage every customer to reuse and recycle all the packaging material. Our packaging is plastic-free and can be recycled.

In case the customer wants to change the delivery address after confirmation of the order, and within 12 hours of delivery, we will levy a charge of INR 200 for the same to reroute our delivery fleet or third-party service providers.

We take the utmost care when delivering the order and ensure it reaches you in the best condition, however, while delivering there may be some unavoidable damages during transit due to situations beyond our control such as potholes. An Ode to Gaia will consider such damages based on our internal policies for part refund or replacement.

We highly recommend opting for self-pick-up.

The exact time of pick up will be notified to the customer on order confirmation by our team.

Please arrive at the informed time unless we have mutually rescheduled it. We may not be able to store your order after your scheduled time slot and may have to keep it out once the bakery closes. We cannot guarantee the condition in that case and will not be liable to act on any claims arising from delayed pick-up.

Pick-up location is from our facility in Deonar, Chembur. The address and Google Maps link will be sent in the order confirmation email.

Our desserts come in sturdy packaging designed to keep them from damage, however, for heavy items, detailed custom cakes, fondant cakes, and large variety orders we recommend Pick-ups in your own car, or a cab service such as Ola or Uber. Other delivery services use scooters/bikes which may cause damage to your order. We do offer the option of delivery for bulk orders with an additional charge.

For Large orders we recommend having an additional person to hold the desserts upright in the car.

Set up is only available for large tiered cakes and dessert tables. Set-up charges are additional and will depend on the order size, distance, and time taken to set up.

Easy access to the venue needs to be available, for example- Close parking, lift access to higher levels, sturdy table to set up, etc. The dessert table needs to be level, stable, clothed, and ready for placement.

Cake stands and display props are not available with us and are the customer’s responsibility to source unless agreed otherwise.

The room should be a suitable temperature for your order- Air conditioning is required, failing which we shall not be held liable for any damages. Should there be any temperature damage to the order after delivery and setup, the customer takes full responsibility and no refund will be issued.

If you choose to pick up your order, you assume all liability and responsibility for its handling once it leaves our facility. Whilst all due care is taken when boxing your order, orders transported by you are done so at your own risk.

Hotel set-ups for large events such as weddings will require support from the hotel staff, to help us set up the cakes or dessert tables in a chilled room. The responsibility to ensure the hotel or venue cooperates is wholly the clients and we do not take responsibility if the cake gets damaged due to lack of assistance from the Venue.
